Due secondi posti di manche sono stati sufficenti a Jay Marmont per aggiudicarsi la prima prova dell'Australasian SX Championship, disputata sabato sera all'Aurora Stadium di Launceston, di fronte a 8.000 spettatori.
Secondo posto per Daniel Reardon, che si conferma come uno dei nomi nuovi del SX, dopo il terzo posto ai recenti US Open di Las Vegas. L'attesissimo debutto di Chad Reed si è chiuso con un terzo posto finale, frutto di un quinto posto in gara 1 a causa di una caduta e di una vittoria in gara 2.
La classe Lites è andata a Matt Moss, davanti a Ryan Marmont e a Kyle Cunningham. Prossima prova, sabato 24 ottobre allo Skilled Stadium di Geelong.
