The KTM 390 Adventure has taken a long time coming to the Indian market. The motorcycle is currently under testing in Europe and likely to be showcased at the EICMA 2018 in Milan, Italy. IAB’s exclusive rendering of the 390 Adventure, based on the spy media, shows the bike with a high-set bikini fairing, long travel suspension, wire-spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres.
The KTM 390 Adventure will feature a side-mount exhaust system, while a rear parcel luggage rack and fairing guards will be standard. The motorcycle will use the same 373.2 cc, single-cylinder engine from the KTM 390 Duke but will receive different state of tune and gearing.
On the Duke, the engine produces 43 bhp of power and 37 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The KTM 390 Adventure is likely to feature 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels that will wrap on Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tyres. The motorcycle will come equipped with LED lighting all around, LCD instrument cluster and ABS with Enduro mode. The bike is likely to cost around INR 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The 390 Adventure will rival the BMW G 310 GS, and the Benelli TRK 502.
