Il resoconto del Giorgia Dome

Il Georgia Dome, stadio degli Atlanta Falcons, squadra della NFL, ospita lìottava prova del AMA Supercross 2013 e siamo in casa di Davi Millsaps al comando della classifica provvisoria della 450. In pista ci sono i piloti della 250 East per la seconda prova. Il più veloce della 250 è Marvin Musquin staccando un runs the quickest lap at 52.60, Dean Wilson lo segue 52.90, terzo è Wil Hahn 53.30. Nella 450 James Stewart blocca il cronometro a 52.10, davanti a Eli Tomac 52.22, poi Trey Canard 52.23.
250 East Heat 1: Dean Wilson prende il comando e non lo molla fino alla fine, secondo termina Gavin Faith, poi Jeremy Martin e Justin Hill.
250 East Heat 2: Zach Bell è al comando, Marvin Musquin lo segue, Wil Hahn è terzo. Nell’ultimo giro succede di tutto: Hahn supera Bell, imitato da Musquin, Bell sbaglia, terzo finisce Blake Wharton ed I tre finiscono nell’ordine.
450 SX Heat 1: E’ Davi Millsaps a scaldare il pubblico partendo al comando davanti a Andrew Short, Jake Weimer, Mike Alessi, Ryan Dungey, Chad Reed, Jimmy Albertson, Josh Hill, Eli Tomac is tenth. Millsaps guida bene e con attenzione per andare a vincere, terminano alle sue spalle Andrew Short, Jake Weimer, Chad Reed, Mike Alessi.
450 SX Heat 2: James Stewart scatta al comando seguito da Justin Barcia, Justin Brayton, Trey Canard, Matt Goerke, Broc Tickle, Ryan Villopoto. Trey Canard si ferma. Brayton si porta al secondo posto poi però sbaglia. James Stewart vince, davanti a Barcia Villopoto.
In the 450 LCQ: Trey Canard vince facilmente, Robert Kiniry termina secondo e guadagna l’accesso al Main Event.
250 East Main Event: Wil Hahn curva per primo davanti a Dean Wilson, Blake Wharton, Marvin Musquin. Al quinto giro Musquin svernicia Wharton. Al decimo giro Wil Hahn prosegue la sua gara al comando davanti a Dean Wilson con due secondi di margine, controlla e va a vincere, Dean Wilson è secondo, a podio anche Marvin Musquin.

250 East Main Event

450 SX Main Event: partono al comando Jake Weimer e Ryan Villopoto ma è James Stewart che esce in testa al gruppo dalla prima curva, Ryan Villopoto lo segue, Jake Weimer è terzo, Davi Millsaps è quarto. I migliori sono il fila, Reed parte male. Stewart guida, Villopoto è alle sue spalle staccato di meno di due secondi. Al quinto giro la situazione al comando è immutata, ma Millsaps sale al terzo posto seguono Justin Barcia, Trey Canard, Ryan Dungey, Jake Weimer, Mike Alessi, Eli Tomac, Andrew Short. A metà gara Stewart prende qualche metro su Villopoto che sembra attendere. Nel finale si fa sotto a Stewart ma i rischi da prendere per tentare un attacco sono troppi, Stewart vince la prima gara della stagione, Ryan Villopoto è secondo, Davi Millsaps sale su terzo gradino del podio.
